Felix Baumgartner is an Austrian skydiver and daredevil. In this video we are showing his space jump i.e. jumping from a helium balloon from the stratosphere ( near to space ) on 14 October 2012. He landed in New Mexico, United States.
His jump was part of the Red Bull Stratos project.
He jumped from 39 KM ( 24 Miles ) altitude and reached the top speed of 1358 KM/H ( 844 M/H) i.e. Mach 1.25.
With this speed, he became the first human being to break the sound barrier without a vehicle ( aircraft etc).
The total time Felix took to reach earth was 9 minutes and 3 seconds out which the 4 minutes and 20 seconds were of free fall and 4 minutes 43 seconds was the parachute time.
